Filppula is slowly starting to become one of my favourite players. Before he came over I had heard nothing but crappy stuff about him so seeing him play this well is awesome.

I think he will but it won't matter much. I'm guessing he'll be the number 3 who just sits in the press box all tournament long . He's definitely earned a spot but when you consider what Miller's done on such a poop team combined with his experience I just don't see Bishop ever starting over him unless Miller does really poorly. Gut feeling says Schneider edges out Bishop for the back up role.

I know you have to take what pictures the site has but isn't it time for Ek to get a pic of Filp in a Lightning jersey. Take two and run. Home for 4 out of 5 with a little trip to Sunrise which is going to be a tough game as the Cats are playing well. The Preds are playing better but no Pekka yet, Lindback should get the start against his former team. Time to finish the month out strong.

A little early to start the Olympic talk. If I remember correctly you had home ice advantage but needed OT to win vs. the lowly Americans with a stacked roster from Canada.

By no means suggesting the americans are lowly in any way. plenty of talent up and down that roster. But the Canadians *should* by all accounts win this tournament, no room for the whole different ice and goaltending excuse.

P.S I doubt the US make it that far without Miller that year anyways. I expect both teams to be in the medal rounds this time around.

A hot goalie can be the difference whether it's Canada, Finland, Sweden, Russia or the US. I would put Canada's D above the rest though

Gudas is the perfect player for the Bolts, we finally have an agitator who gets under the other teams skin but actually plays a fairly clean and good game.

Thank goodness Bishop kept us in the game to the Bolts got their head out of their asses. Filppula made up for the horrendous turnover that cost a goal.

I think if the players can get past their pass first mentality our offense would increase, get dirty put pucks on net and go for rebounds. Cooper hit at this in the post game about 4 or 5 times guys in open ice in front of the goalie passing the puck instead of shooting.

In fact I would go as far as saying I think miller is the only one who is doing better .. But there may be a goalie or two that's American that I'm not sure about that are doing better than bishop but his numbers are simply amazing , and all this talk about the résumé is garbage , how is he suppose to build one if never given the opportunity ? If not given a try out they could regret it .. Bishop has been a monster
